This was really good experiment. Tell me how's your connection with your phone? Do you feel like you control your phone or is it your phone controlling you?

I miss some things about how my world was before smartphones. But I have made friends from across the world because we all watched Dudesons on YouTube. I used my smartphone for that and I think that’s pretty cool.

Decades ago there was a plan to have everyone chipped. People weren't having it and they needed an alternative. Enter smartphones. They make them addictive, they create massive competition between different manufacturers so people think they have the best brand, your entire life is on them including banking, financial, travel, family, utilities, etc. The smartphone is the chip. In 20 years they will know everything about everyone and will have complete control.

Moro Jarno! Hope you're not reading this comment while taking a poop haha! Cool experiment! It's very true that people are generally addicted to their phones. Maybe it's good to give ourselves some "free-time" from our phones like you said in the mornings, but also evenings, a few hours before bed. That can help your resting.

I know for you as a busy guy it's difficult not to be connected all the time and there's this fear of missing out. One simple trick is to allocate a certain time of day when you sit down and do your emails (on your computer) concentrate on just that task for an hour or two or however long it takes you, and then you're done. Check new emails only the next day. Same with other aspects of your job. Give them a certain time slot, and then concentrate on them 100%. Worst is when you "multitask": replying to emails, then also answering WhatsApp messages and looking at YouTube statss, all the while having that I replied email open in front of you. It's important to do and finish the things you're working on at the moment, then you'll have more time to concentrate on the other aspects of your life fully.

Old school Duudsonit fan here! Jätkä on eläin.

Keep it up bro! Love seeing videos like this <3

Tosi hyvä video! Herätti kyllä miettimään kuinka paljon sitä puhelinta oikeasti käyttää. Pitää itekki vähentää tuota puhelimen käyttöä ja ottaa vaikka sama periaate ettei käytä sitä puhelinta heti aamusta, eikä esimerkiksi vessassa tai ruokapöydässä. Jatka samaan malliin!

I have a theory I call the James Cameron theory its pretty much the terminator we are designed to destroy ourselves. So these technologies that we have and designed have already taken over. From Netflix to cell phones, from self checkout to uber. The technology we have made has already destroyed pretty much anything of true value of life, and it scares the hell outta me…

I did the same for about a month, I agree with your conclusion. Everyone should really try it out, it gives you some perspective on things. My wife made fun of me when I was setting the alarm when we were in bed, she asked me :"What are you doing? Playing Snake?" Then she started laughing. Anyway great video Jarno

I still like the video anyway and it’s an interesting idea. My whole life really is on my phone and I don’t have a computer or tv either so I’m always watching stuff on my phone and all my tickets for travelling are on the phone, I always carry powerbanks with me cause If my phone died when I was out I don’t know how I’d get home

Buddy your are a smartphone addict ,but your not alone billions of people around the world are smartphone addicts as well.If you don't believe me go into any public space and all you will see is people on there phones,me personally i,ve always used a burner phone,i do go online but only on my home PC.The fucked up part is when an alcoholic or a drug addict get a fix or someone get's a like on a youtube video the same chemical dopamine is released into your brain, dopamine is the chemical that makes you feel good.

I took about a 7 month break from social media at the start of this year and at first honestly, it totally sucked. You actually have muscle memory when you unlock your phone to immediately click on those apps. But after the first week or so, it was actually very liberating. I felt so much more aware and appreciative of the things around me, and you really realize just how consumed others are around you with their devices. It’s a really cool experiment to try, and I think really good for your mental health to take a break every once in awhile
