Campus Tour | University of North Dakota

Welcome to the University of North Dakota. My
name is Francis and I’m going to be your tour guide today. Let’s take a look at
some of the awesome things on campus. Wilkinson Commons, you’ll be spending a
lot of time here because it’s the central hub of our residence halls. It’s
a great place to study, meet up with friends, or just grab something to eat.
There’s lots of options in the dining center. There’s a grill, the global
cuisine, the deli, the salad bar, North Dakota homestyle where can get your hot
dish, pizza, dessert and really anything. This is a quad. This is a great place to
hang out in between classes and maybe even set up a hammock. Over here we have
Merrifield Hall. No matter what your major is, there’s a good chance to have a class in
this building, and if you think the campus is beautiful and green, just wait until you
see it in white. There’s tons of stuff to do to get involved here. There’s cultural
nights, canvas painting and free movie nights. We also have 250 student
organizations to get involved with, including Greek life, and construction is
underway to build a new Memorial Union. It’s expected to be completed by 2021.
Right outside the Union, we’re on University Avenue. Drive that direction
for about 5 minutes and you’ll be in the heart of downtown Grand Forks. It’s a
lively community, farmers markets in the town square, movies of the park, and lots
of great eats. You can also head down to Red River
where you can fish, kayak, paddle board, or run or bike on the scenic Greenway. You
can definitely tell Grand Forks is a college town, and we’re proud to call it
our home. We’re just inside our Wellness Center.
We’ve been as one of the healthiest universities in the nation. It’s a state-of-the-art, free-to-use facility with basketball courts, volleyball courts, running track,
rock wall, and of course weights. Now we’re inside of the beautiful Ralph Engelstad
Arena, the best in college hockey. During the season you’ll find me and my friends
here every Friday and Saturday night. It gets loud, and it’s a great time. We also
have many other free sports for our students to attend like volleyball,
basketball, and football. Our campus and community you have a lot of pride and
passion for our student athletes, so every game is an exciting atmosphere.
UND is awesome and it means a lot to so many people, but don’t just take my word for
it. Come experience it for yourself.
